Heartsaver-Community

The Heartsaver® for Community & First Responders course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job requirements or personal preparedness. This includes teachers, coaches, security personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters, lifeguards, childcare providers, workplace safety teams, and community members who want to be ready to respond in an emergency.

Course Includes:

CPR and AED Training for adults, children, and infants
First Aid Basics: injury and illness prevention, wound care, choking relief
Medical Emergencies: heart attack, stroke, seizures, diabetic emergencies, and allergic reactions
Hands-On Skills Practice with feedback from certified instructors
2-Year American Heart Association Certification upon successful completion

As mandated by the American Heart Association (AHA):
All students—new or renewing—must have the current AHA Student Workbook or eBook Manual for the course.

You may:

Purchase it before class and bring it with you, or
Pick it up on the day of class before training begins.

If you already own the current edition of the workbook or eBook Manual, simply bring it to class and pay only the course fee.

📍 Important: Without the current AHA Student Workbook or eBook Manual, you will be required to purchase one on-site before starting the class.

It covers the Four Steps of First Aid and pediatric first aid skills such as finding the problem, stopping bleeding, bandaging, and using an Epinephrine pen, as well as child CPR AED and infant CPR. Optional modules in adult CPR AED, child mask, infant mask, and Asthma Care Training for Child Care Providers are also available.
